Tasty and Healthy Winter Ladoo Recipes

Gond Ladoo

A delicious and nutritious delicacy, gond ladoo is typically made in the winter. This ladoo recipe is perfect for growing children, the elderly, pregnant women, or lactating moms because it has the goodness of ghee, edible gum, dry fruits, and jaggery.

Gond is an edible gum made from the Acacia shrub. Other names for it include gondh, gaund, and dink. It is a popular ingredient because of its high nutritional value but has no flavor or taste.

Recipe –

To make Gond ladoos, heat ghee in a pan. Once heated, roast the dry fruits and nuts – cashew, almonds, raisin, melon seeds, walnuts, poppy seeds, dried dates, and puffed lotus seeds – in ghee and then transfer to a platter. Now roast the gond in the same pan. Transfer the gond to a dish. After the dry fruits, nuts, and gond cool down, grind them coarsely.

Again heat the same ghee in the pan, add flour, and continue stirring. Once the flour turns light brown, add the powdered jaggery, desiccated coconut, dry fruit, and nuts. Remove the mix from the flame. Let it cool, mix all the ingredients, and roll little ladoos.
