Grab Tissues, Guys. House of the Dragons’ Rhaenyra Targaryen Just Got Replaced !!

House of the Dragon fans, unite!

Our very own and fans’ favorite Milly Alcock, who plays the character of Rhaenyra Targaryen on House of the Dragons, is leaving the show. Episode 5 was the last time we’ll see the 22-year-old actress in the Game of Thrones prequel series.

But don’t lose heart. You’ll still get to see the screen presence of your favorite character Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.

Episode 6 is set forward 10 years as a natural progression. Hence, Emma D’Arcy will take over the role from now as a more grown-up version of the character.

The news came as a heartbreak for the fans since Milly had won over fans. A user called the casting change a nightmare. Another wrote, “Milly Alcock as young Rhaenyra Targaryen is one of the most perfect castings ever, I’ll never get over it”.

Nonetheless, users are excited as ever to see the story progress 10 years later. Episode 6 will air on 25th Sep 2022.

House of the Dragon is a world-popular American fantasy drama TV series and a prequel to the show Game of Thrones (2011–2019). Created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal for HBO, it is the second show in the franchise.
