In the US state of Virginia, a Walmart store was the scene of a shooting late on Tuesday that left many people dead and injured.
Police in the US state of Virginia reported that a shooter killed up to 10 people inside a Walmart supermarket in Chesapeake. The shooting took place less than 48 hours before Thanksgiving.
The shooter, who was thought to be the store manager, killed himself after turning the gun on himself. It was assumed that the shooting took place inside the store and that the suspect acted alone.
The shooting claimed the lives of a few colleagues, but the exact number of fatalities remains unclear. It included a 20-year-old store employee who was shot 10 minutes after reporting for duty.
Three nights prior, in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain west, a shooter opened fire inside an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, killing five people and injuring at least 18 others in what is being investigated as a probable hate crime.
