Well, the week has started on a high note! On Monday, Actor Anushka Sharma went after sportswear brand Puma after they used her images without consent! Immediately after, the brand responded and what they said brought more confusion among social media users.
From their post, Puma India had a picture of written contact between Puma and Anushka. It was also stamped “confidential.” They captioned it, “ Hey @anushkasharma, we should’ve reached out sooner! Should we take things to the next level, then?”

Now, Anushka responded to the post on her Instagram stories, saying, “ I’ll sleep on it.” Well, at this point, we can all speculate that this is a game! However, it does not stop there!
Later, Anushka reshared the picture Puma posted to promote its sales event. She wrote on her Instagram stories saying, “ Hey, @PumaIndia? I’m sure you know that you have to take permission before you can use my imagery for publicity since I am not your ambassador.”

She and her husband had asked Puma India to take down the post. Anushka wrote. “ please take it down followed by angry emojis. Her husband, Virat Kohli, a former captain of India cricket, wrote, “ Please sort this out, Puma India.”
Most Instagram users low-key knew this was a promotional strategy that Puma India used to create excitement. Here are some comments from the post:

Well, this marketing strategy has worked for most brands! Anushka and Puma India probably felt that creating this drama would promote the brand, so why not go for it?
Actually, as we speak Puma and Anushka are already working together. In her recent post, Anushka is seen wearing Puma sportswear. Her caption reads, “ Well, that’s just how it’s done, followed by emojis.
